AI clones
An AI clone is a model trained on one specific person — their writing, voice, image, and behavior — so it can act in a way recognizable as that person. Unlike a generic chatbot, a clone is biographical: anchored to a single identity rather than a generic persona. Digital twins
The term "digital twin" comes from industrial engineering — a live software model of a jet engine or factory line. Why a reference, and why now
The personal-AI conversation in 2026 is fragmented across vendor blogs, research papers, and social posts that each use the same words to mean different things. A "digital twin" in a hospital paper is not the same artifact as a "digital twin" in a creator-economy pitch deck. Treating these as a single field — without flattening the distinctions — is the work this site exists to do.
